The purpose of this paper is to prove a general fixed point theorem for mappings involving almost altering distances and satisfying a new type of common limit range property in Gp metric spaces. In the last part of the paper, some fixed point results for mappings satisfying contractive conditions of integral type and for '-contractive mappings are obtained.

A general fixed point theorem for two pairs of absorbing mappings satisfying a new type of implicit relation ([37]), without weak compatibility in Gp-metric spaces is proved. As applications, new results for mappings satisfying contractive conditions of integral type and for ϕ-contractive mappings are obtained.

The aim of this paper is to prove a general fixed point result by altering distances for two occasionally weakly compatible (owc) pairs of hybrid mappings and to reduce the study of fixed points of the pairs of mappings satisfying a contractive condition of integral type at the study of fixed points in metric spaces by altering distances satisfying a new type of implicit relations generalizing the result recently obtained by H.K. Pathak and Naseer Shahzad (see Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. Simon Stevin, 16 (2009), 1-12) which is of Gregus type.

In this paper we prove a general fixed point theorem by altering distance for two pairs of owc hybrid mappings generalizing the main result from [10] and we reduce the study of fixed point of pairs of mappings satisfying a contractive condition of integral type at the study of fixed points in metric spaces by altering distance satisfying an implicit relation.

In this article, we establish some non-unique fixed point theorems of Ćirić’s type for (Φ,ψ)-hybrid contractive mappings by using a similar notion to that of the paper [M. Akram, A.A. Zafar and A.A. Siddiqui, A general class of contractions: A-contractions, Novi Sad J. Math. 38 (2008), no. 1, 25–33]. Our results generalize, extend and improve several ones in the literature.

In this paper we introduce some new types of contractive mappings by combining Caristi contraction, Ciric-quasi contraction and weak contraction in the framework of a metric space. We prove some fixed point theorems for such type of mappings over complete metric spaces with the help of '-diminishing property. Some examples are given in strengthening the hypothesis of our established theorems.
