Individualism and civic participation an essay on a certain way of thinking about citizenship
Abstract
Individualism, although inherently contrary to the spirit of collectivism, is the basis for the development of modern civic attitudes. For the most part, individualism determines the degree of interest in politics and the quality of de- mocracy.
