About

Aims, scope and thematic areas

“Przestrzenie Przekładu” (“Spaces of Translation”) is a peer-reviewed academic research-oriented journal whose aim and mission is to present the results of broadly understood research in the field of translation – translation as a process and product, functioning and receptions of translated texts, as well as the links between systemic linguistic and cultural dimensions in translation.

The journal presents the results of research in the field of literary, specialised, oral and audiovisual translation, taking into account various methodological and ideological approaches which were formed as a result of interdisciplinary dialogue. This approach allows to grasp the multifaceted and thematic diversity characteristic of translation studies, as well as to outline their (new) directions and development.

“Przestrzenie Przekładu” (“Spaces of Translation”) is directed to scholars and academics in literature and linguistics, translators, interpreters, adepts of the art of translation, as well as all those who are interested in the issues of the field.

“Przestrzenie Przekładu” (“Spaces of Translation”) is an open-access, biannual, double-blind, peer-reviewed and online journal.
