The New Friesian School and neo-Kantianism
Abstract
The subject of this article is the divergences between the various directions and phases of Neo-Kantianism. It is an attempt to answer the question of why there were heated polemics between the representatives of the different approaches, although in principle they thought alike. In the author’s opinion, neo-Kantianism is a problem in itself and therefore it is difficult to find a uniform definition of neo-Kantianism.

Andrzej J. Noras (1960–2020) – Professor für Philosophie; Ideenhistoriker, herausragender Kenner des Badischen und Marburger Neukantianismus sowie Experte auf dem Gebiet der Ontologie Nicolai Hartmanns. Von 2006 bis 2019 leitete er den Lehrstuhl für Geschichte der neuzeitlichen und zeitgenössischen Philosophie an der Schlesischen Universität Katowice, außerdem war er Prodekan für Wissenschaft an der Fakultät für Sozialwissenschaften (2012–2016) und Prorektor für Forschung
(2016–2020). Er war aktives Mitglied mehrerer wissenschaftlicher Gesellschaften, darunter der Polnischen Phänomenologischen Gesellschaft und der Polnischen Gesellschaft für Systematische Philosophie. Autor zahlreicher wissenschaftlicher Monografien und Artikel.
