Ethical principles and anti-abuse policy

The Editors declare their commitment to the high quality of published articles and other texts as well as the observance of intellectual property rights and publishing ethics.

In the event of:

  • suspicion of duplicate publication;
  • suspicion of plagiarism;
  • suspicion of fabrication of data;
  • requests for changes in the list of authors;
  • suspicion of ghost authorship;
  • guestauthorship and ghostwriting;
  • suspicion of conflict of interest;

the Editorial Board takes appropriate measures in accordance with the Publishing Ethics Resource Kit (PERK) and the Committee of Publication Ethics' Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities of the Editor

The Editor-in-chief ensures that the texts published are of high quality and that ethical principles are respected by all members of the editorial board, authors and reviewers. The Editor-in-Chief intervenes immediately upon receiving all breach notifications.

The Editor-in-chief and other members of the editorial board decide whether to accept or reject a submission. Editorial assistant ensures that required metadata are complete.

The editors maintain the confidentiality of all authors' data when reviewing texts and ensure that all texts which are sent to reviewers are anonymised.

Reviewer’s responsibilities

Reviews should be performed on the basis of scientific arguments, objectively and in accordance with ethical standards. If there is a conflict of interest, the reviewer should inform the Editor.

All reviewed articles are confidential. The reviewer shall not share the review or information about the submission. The reviewer does not receive any information that would allow direct contact with the author.

Each reviewer has 4 weeks for the completion of the review.

Author’s responsibilities and obligations

Authors are required to comply with the collaboration rules and technical requirements.

Upon submitting a text, authors attach an appropriate statement of the originality of the text and disclose all organisations that contributed to its creation (statement of financial and institutional support). In order for a submission to be considered, the author(s) must also consent to the processing of personal data, necessary for publication by the journal's Editor and the Publisher (name, affiliation, ORCID, email address). All data are provided voluntarily by authors; authors have the right to edit and delete their data from the system.

Authors provide one-time consent for the publication and placement of the text on the journal's website and in collaborating databases.

Submission of texts is equivalent to accepting the ethical principles described above.
