Description of the review process

1. Once a text has been submitted via the journal platform, the Editorial Board verifies it for compliance with the journal's thematic profile and formal requirements, as well as originality. The editorial board reserves the right to perform an anti-plagiarism check on any text submitted for publication. A text that does not meet the initial assessment criteria may be rejected at this stage without further review procedure.
2. The editor will appoint external reviewers, making every effort to ensure that the article submitted for publication is reviewed by experts in the area. The article will be sent to two independent reviewers (Polish and/or foreign scholars) who are not affiliated with the author’s institution.
3. Articles are reviewed according to the principle of double-blind peer review, which means that authors and reviewers do not know each other's identity. The editors ensure that all texts, before being sent to reviewers, are properly prepared so that the identity of the author is not directly or indirectly revealed.
4. Reviewers prepare the reviews via the review form available on the OJS platform. It should contain an unambiguous recommendation whether the text should be accepted with or without corrections, rejected. The review form containing the criteria for evaluation of the text is available on the platform in 3 language versions: Polish, Russian and English.
5. Publication of the article is subject to two positive reviews. If a review reveals that the text needs major changes and corrections, a second review may be carried out after the changes have been introduced. If the reviews are disparate, the editor may send the text to a third reviewer.
6. The final decision whether to publish or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
7. The editors will inform the author about the decisions concerning the publication of the text as well as reveal the reviews. The author is obliged to respond to the reviewers' comments within the indicated time. The final rejection decision is not subject to appeal.
8. The list of reviewers collaborating with the journal is published on the journal's website under "ABOUT THE JOURNAL" ⇒ "Reviewers".
