Submissions

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Texts submitted for publication can not be published anywhere else in Polish nor submitted to any other periodicals.
2. By submitting a text for publication, the author gives his/her consent to publish it online on a website of a given edition and index the article in bibliography lists, e.g. CEJSH and CEEOL.
3. The author submits his/her text in electronic form. Articles are to be submitted by the end of February of a given year.
4. A bibliographic description of positions quoted should be included in footnotes and put in the bibliography, see: Editorial instruction for authors of publications in the Faculty of Theology of the University of Silesia in Katowice to be found on the website of “Studia Pastoralne” (Editorial instruction).
5. A bibliography in alphabetic order is to be located at the end of an article.
6. All articles (also in foreign languages) should include a summary, title, and key words in Polish and English.
7. Authors’ bio should include the following information: for publication – name and surname of the author, his/her academic title, ORCID number (optionally), place of work (Chair, Institute, University), mailing address (e-mail); additionally for the editorial staff to be able to be in touch with the author – mailing address and telephone number.
8. Responsibility for the copyrights and publishing rights is on the author.
9. Not sending the author’s corrections within a specified deadline means consent for publication of a text in the form provided.
10. Authors of published texts receive one free copy of “Studia Pastoralne” and their texts published in PDF format.
11. Authors must observe regulations under "The copyrights and related rights act” (Journal of Law No. 24 as of 23 February 1994).
