Before sending the text for publication, please read the ethical and publishing rules and review rules in force in the journal "Forum on Criminal Policy". By sending the text for publication, you accept these rules and the following technical requirements.
Materials for printing should be sent by e-mail to the Editor's address: forumpk@us.edu.pl, or in case of technical problems - forum.criminal.policy@gmail.com. After launching the profile on the OJS platform, the texts will be accepted only through it.
The journal publishes scientific articles, votes and reviews.
The text should be in the form of a standard typescript written in one of the following formats: .rtf, .doc, .docx, .odt
The volume of the full text of a scientific article should be from 0.5 sheet to 2 publishing sheets, i.e. from 20,000 to 80,000 characters with spaces.
The volume of the vote or review should not exceed 10,000 characters.
The author submitting the text is required to attach an anonymised file, i.e. containing the text without personal data (name and surname) and other data that will allow the author to be identified, e.g. references to her/his publications, the institution where the project is or has been implemented, thanks to the promoter / supervisor of the work on the basis of which the article was prepared, the name of the research project or the grant number.
Full text composition:
1) author's name and surname;
2) title of the article in Polish and English;
3) abstract in Polish and English (maximum 900 characters);
4) five keywords in Polish and English;
5) text of the article in Polish or English (it is possible to publish both language versions with the main version marked);
6) bibliography (bibliographic record in accordance with the guidelines for footnotes);
7) a note about the author in Polish and English, containing:
- name and surname together with the academic degree / title,
- affiliation,
- e-mail adress,
- identifier in the ORCID science database,
- a short biographical note, which should not exceed 200 characters.
Format and Font:
1) suggested font: Times New Roman;
2) font size: 12 points;
3) space: 1.5 lines;
4) bilateral alignment, margin: 2.5 cm;
5) tabulator: 1.25 cm.
Footnotes:
1) Oxford system (footnotes);
2) suggested font: Times New Roman;
3) font size: 10 points;
4) space: 1 line;
5) subsequent information separated by a comma;
6) book, monograph:
- initial of the name and surname of the author / authors,
- full title in italics,
- place and year of issue,
- page numbers;
7) chapter in a collective work:
- initial of the first name and surname of the author / authors of the chapter,
- the full title of the chapter in italics,
- [in:]
- initial of the name and surname of the editor / editors of the collective work,
- (ed.)
- the full title of the collective work in italics,
- place and year of issue,
- page numbers;
8) journal article:
- initial of the name and surname of the author / authors,
- the full title of the article in italics,
- title of the journal in simple writing,
- the year of publishment,
- number, notebook, volume, etc.,
- page numbers;
9) short citation:
- re-reference to the source from the footnote above: ibidem,
- re-reference to the already quoted text of the given author: initial of name, author's surname, first two words of the title in italics, three dots, page numbers.
If graphics or photos are attached to the text, they should be sent in separate files with a resolution of min. 300 dpi. Please do not paste graphics in the text. The editors accept only illustrative material to which the authors have copyrights and which in terms of quality is suitable for printing.
Materials which are not ordered Editors do not return.
The Editors reserve the right to edit texts that do not meet the requirements described above and to correct obvious errors and mistakes during the correction.
The authors of the articles do not receive any financial gratuities and do not incur publication costs.
The Copyright Owners of the submitted texts grant the Reader the right to use the pdf documents under the provisions of the Creative Commons 4.0 International License: Attribution-Share-Alike (CC BY SA). The user can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format and remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose.

The University of Silesia Press provides immediate open access to journal’s content under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/). Authors who publish with this journal retain all copyrights and agree to the terms of the above-mentioned CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
2. Author’s Warranties
The author warrants that the article is original, written by stated author/s, has not been published before, contains no unlawful statements, does not infringe the rights of others, is subject to copyright that is vested exclusively in the author and free of any third party rights, and that any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources have been obtained by the author/s.
If the article contains illustrative material (drawings, photos, graphs, maps), the author declares that the said works are of his authorship, they do not infringe the rights of the third party (including personal rights, i.a. the authorization to reproduce physical likeness) and the author holds exclusive proprietary copyrights. The author publishes the above works as part of the article under the licence "Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International".
ATTENTION! When the legal situation of the illustrative material has not been determined and the necessary consent has not been granted by the proprietary copyrights holders, the submitted material will not be accepted for editorial process. At the same time the author takes full responsibility for providing false data (this also regards covering the costs incurred by the University of Silesia Press and financial claims of the third party).
3. User Rights
Under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, the users are free to share (copy, distribute and transmit the contribution) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) the article for any purpose, provided they attribute the contribution in the manner specified by the author or licensor.
4. Co-Authorship
If the article was prepared jointly with other authors, the signatory of this form warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to sign this agreement on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this agreement.
I hereby declare that in the event of withdrawal of the text from the publishing process or submitting it to another publisher without agreement from the editorial office, I agree to cover all costs incurred by the University of Silesia in connection with my application.
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
