The journal adheres to the rules of reviewing articles adopted by the University of Silesia Press.

Initial verification of the text for compliance with the magazine's profile and technical requirements is carried out by the Editorial Board.

At least two independent reviewers from outside the University of Silesia and from outside the institution to which the author is affiliated are appointed to evaluate each publication.

As a rule, the author or authors of publications and reviewers do not know their identities (double-blind review process); in other cases, the reviewer signs a declaration of no conflict of interest, whereby the personal conflict between the reviewer and the author is considered to be a direct personal relationship (in particular relationship to the second degree, marriage), professional subordination relations or direct scientific cooperation in the last two years preceding the year of preparing the review.

Reviewers prepare a review within 6 weeks.

The review is made in the form and ends with a clear conclusion as to whether the article can be published or rejected.

Two negative reviews mean that the text will not be printed. In the event of divergent reviews, the Editorial Board shall consult a member of the Scientific Council. The final decision on publication is made by the Editorial Board.

The names of the reviewers of individual publications/issues are not disclosed; once a year the journal publishes a list of collaborating reviewers.
