Danuta Gabryś-Barker is Professor of Applied Linguistics and Psycholinguistics at the University of Silesia, Katowice, where she lectures and supervises M.A. and Ph.D. theses in applied linguistics, second language acquisition and multilingualism. As a teacher trainer she lectures on research methods in second/multiple language acquisition and TEFL projects. She has published widely both abroad and in Poland.

She is the co-editor-in-chief of two journals, International Journal of Multilingualism (Taylor & Francis/Routledge) and Theory and Practice of Second Language Acquisition (University of Silesia Press).
