Open Access
Neophilologica is committed to promoting open science and open access to scholarly publications. The journal subscribes to the founding principles of open access as set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing and the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. Neophilologica also adheres to the code of conduct of the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and supports its statement on open access.
Neophilologica follows the Diamond open access model: all published articles are permanently and freely accessible online from the date of publication, with no charges for authors and no subscription fees for readers.
Licence and copyright
All articles published by Neophilologica are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). Under this licence, anyone is free to copy, redistribute, adapt or modify the published content, including for commercial purposes, provided that the author and original source are appropriately credited and that any derivative work is distributed under the same licence.
Authors retain full copyright and publication rights without any restrictions.
By submitting their work to Neophilologica, authors agree to the application of the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence to their article and consent to its reuse, in whole or in part, for any purpose, free of charge.
Referencing and sharing
When referring to their article, authors must use the permanent link assigned by Neophilologica, which takes the following form: https://doi.org/10.31261/NEO.PublicationYear.VolumeNumber.YourPaperNumber.
Authors are not only permitted but strongly encouraged to share their work online — for example on institutional or disciplinary repositories, or on personal websites — before and during the submission process, in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. This practice fosters scholarly exchange in the spirit of open science and may contribute to earlier and broader citation of the published work.
Copyright statement
When submitting their work, authors are required to complete and sign a copyright statement, the content of which can be found at the bottom of the Submissions tab.
