Submissions

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Text formatting:

  1. Text formatting: .pdf and .doc format.
  2. Text length: 30,000 – 60,000 characters including spaces.
  3. Page settings: all margins (left, right, top and bottom) must be set to 2,5 cm, standard tabs 1.25 cm (each paragraph should be indented).
  4. Font: TNR 12 point size, 1,5 spaced.
  5. At the top of the paper on the left: author’s name and surname, affiliation and ORCID number.
  6. Below, the title of the paper and its translation into English.
  7. Below, an Abstract, a short summary of the issues discussed in the paper in English. Ensure that your abstract does not contain any references or citations. It should act as a broad overview of the subject and a concise synopsis of the primary findings of the research and their significance. The abstract should be free-flowing without the organization of sections or subsections. Please provide an abstract of approx. 200 words. 
  8. Below, Keywords, 4 to 8 most important keywords in English for indexing purposes.
  9. The main text in the selected Romance language or in English.
  10. Bibliography at the end of the text under the name Cited References, containing an alphabetical list of the items cited in the paper.

II Examples, quotations, references :

  1. Examples (words, phrases, sentences) should be in italics, and their translation into other languages in parantheses.
  2. Text attributes such as  bold, italics, underlining spacing are allowed. But, please make sure that they are not too often used.
  3. Use quotation marks for quotations.
  4. Internet quotations should include the Internet address and date of access in parentheses.
  5. In-text references should follow APA 7 Citation Format: the author(s)’s or editor(s)’s surname, year of publication and page number(s)
  6. In the case of polemics or including additional comments, it is allowed to use numbered footnotes at the bottom of the page.
  7. The references should be listed alphabetically according to the APA 7 type requirements:
  • Book:
    Bogacki, K., & Lewicka, H. (1983). Dictionnaire sémantique et syntaxique des verbes français. Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN.
  • Edited book:
    Leitch, M. G., & Rushton, C. J. (Eds.). (2019). A new companion to Malory. D. S. Brewer.
  • Articles in periodicals:

    Gross, G. (2008). Les classes d’objets. Lalie, 28, 113‒165.
  • Chapter in a book:
    Karolak, S. (1984). Składnia wyrażeń predykatywnych. In Z. Topolińska (Red.), Gramatyka współczesnego języka polskiego (s. 11‒210). Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN.
