A Study on the Impact of Verse in the Metaverse: Exploring the Role of Avatars in Scientific Storytelling

Súčasný výskum sa zameriava na vplyv rozprávania príbehov založeného na avataroch v prostredí metaverza na študijné výkony, angažovanosť a emocionálno-sociálne skúsenosti žiakov základných škôl v rámci prírodovedného vzdelávania. V Poľsku bol použitý kvázi-experimentálny postup pred-testovej kontrolnej skupiny s 50 žiakmi vo veku 8 až 12 rokov. Keďže sa to uskutočnilo na experimentálnej báze, prvá skupina sa stretla s intervenciou trvajúcou dva týždne, kde avatary používali interaktívne vedecké skripty; druhá skupina mohla interagovať s rovnakým obsahom prostredníctvom konvenčných digitálnych médií. Výsledky pred- a po-testu (na základe Bloomovej taxonómie), ako aj prieskum angažovanosti, ukázali, že učenie a angažovanosť v experimentálnej skupine sa výrazne zlepšili (p < 0,001). Údaje z rozhovorov s fokusovými skupinami vo forme kvalitatívnych výsledkov ukázali, že ľudia vnímali avatary pozitívne ako dôveryhodné a príbuzné postavy, ktoré vyvolávajú emócie. Toto zistenie prispieva k pozitívnemu názoru, že krátkodobé rozprávanie založené na avataroch môže pomôcť pri zlepšovaní kognitívneho výkonu, motivácie a emocionálneho prepojenia virtuálneho učenia. Sú poskytnuté diskusie o dôsledkoch imerzívnej pedagogiky a budúceho longitudinálneho výskumu.
