DEMONICZNE LOCI MIEJSKIE W TWÓRCZOŚCI SYMBOLISTÓW ROSYJSKICH

Streszczenie

Artykuł nawiązuje do tradycji badań nad tzw. tekstem miejskim w literaturze rosyjskiej. Zwróciwszy uwagę na bardziej ogólne zagadnienie demonizacji miasta w utworach pisarzy z kręgu symbolistów, jego autorzy podejmują problem przedstawienia struktury aksjologicz-nej i społeczno-funkcjonalnej poszczególnych loci (miejsc), które wyłaniają się ze wspólnej przestrzeni miasta. Miejsca, które stają się zdaniem symbolistów ośrodkami oddziaływania sił infernalnych (restauracja, dom publiczny, bal, maskarada, kasyno gry, fabryka), zostają zidentyfi kowane i scharakteryzowane na podstawie analizy utworów Walerija Briusowa, Konstantina Balmonta, Inokientija Annienskiego, Aleksandra Błoka i Andrieja Biełego. Cechy strukturalne miejsca, które nadają mu status infernalnego, oraz specyfi ka przebie-gu zdarzeń w tym miejscu zależna od tego statusu są opisane na przykładzie  restauracji. W części końcowej artykułu zostaje poruszony problem źródeł i tradycji, z którymi wiąże się demonizacja restauracji w twórczości symbolistow.

DEMONIC URBAN LOCI IN RUSSIAN SYMBOLISM

Summary

The article is written within investigations of ‘urban text’ in the Russian literature. Taking notice of the common aspect of the city ‘demonization’ in works of the writers that belong to symbolist school, the authors bring forth the issue related to description of the value and functional role that certain loci selected from a common urban space have. The urban loci determined in the works by V.Ya. Brusov, K.D. Balmont, I.F. Annensky, A.A.Blok, Andrei Bely are more often turned to be the heart of the infernal origin (restaurant, whorehouse, ball, masquerade, gambling house, factory). The structural and plot features that make a particular locus to be demonized are described by the example of the ‘restaurant’ locus. In summary of the article the issue of sources and traditions related to restaurant ‘demonization’ by the Russian symbolists is set forth.
