„Wortfolge. Szyk Słów”
COURSE AND RULES OF THE REVIEWING PROCEDURE
The editors accept only unpublished texts and not submitted for publication in another journal.
In the case of translations, a footnote should be given in the text, referring to the original text.
The first assessment of the submitted text is made by the Editorial Board, which decides whether to accept or reject it. Texts of low scientific quality or not matching the journal's profile are rejected.
After accepting the text, the Editorial Board directs it to two independent reviewers affiliated with a unit other than the author of the work and if two mutually exclusive opinions are received, it may appoint a third reviewer for evaluation.
Texts in German are sent, as far as possible, to at least one reviewer affiliated to a foreign institution. The criteria for assessing the submitted texts were specified in the review form, which is available in the form of a .doc file on the journal's website.
The review process follows the "double-blind review process" model, which means that Reviewers and Authors do not know their identity.
Reviewers are required to keep confidential, perform a fair, unbiased and timely review, and inform the Editorial Board about a possible conflict of interest; conflicts of interest are considered: kinship (up to the second degree), marriage, co-authorship, cooperation within one research project, employment in the same institution.
Each review should end with a clear recommendation.
The composition of the Reviewers’ Council is published on the journal's website. In justified cases, the Editorial Board appoints reviewers from outside the Council. The list of collaborating reviewers is updated once a year.
The Editorial Board does not publish the names of Reviewers assessing individual contributions.
The Editorial Board decides about the final acceptance of the text.
