Summary
This article scrutinizes examples of transformations in different works. The review begins with the consideration of transformations in ancient myths and ends with an analysis of metamorphoses in science fiction and fantasy. Particular attention is paid to the masterwork «Metamorphosis» of Ovid Publius Nazon.
