The journal Problemy Prawa Karnego is a continuation of Professor Kazimierz Marszal' work, who was the Editor in -Chief of the journal for many years. Professor Kazimierz Marszal made it a respected publication.

The journal covers the issues of substantive criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminal executory law, criminalistics, criminology, international criminal procedure, comparative criminal law and procedure, criminal fiscal law and procedure, petty offence law and procedure in petty offence cases, as well as issues concerning Criminal Compliance and other issues of an interdisciplinary nature, e.g. from the borderline between penal sciences and medicine.

Each issue of the journal discusses current problems of criminal law and criminal procedure, with particular attention paid to normative changes in those areas of law. The most controversial issues and legal constructions in the field of criminalistics are also discussed''.
