Prof. dr hab. Adam Dziadek was the first editor-in-chief of the journal. Prof. Dziadek is a literary scholar, translator, comparatist, editor-in-chief of the series Studia o męskości (Masculinity Studies), published by The Institute of Literary Research of The Polish Academy of Sciences, member of the editorial board of the quarterly Pamiętnik Literacki (Literary Memoir), and member of The Scientific Council of The Institute of Literary Research of The Polish Academy of Sciences. He is the author of several monograph studies, among them: Rytm i podmiot w liryce Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza i Aleksandra Wata, 1999 (Rhythm and Subject in the Poetry of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and Aleksander Wat), Obrazy i wiersze. Z zagadnień interferencji sztuk w polskiej poezji współczesnej, 2004 (Images and Poems. The Problems of the Interference of the Arts in Contemporary Polish Poetry); and Projekt krytyki somatycznej, 2014 (A Project of Somatic Criticism); he is also the editor of a number of multi-author essay collections.
From 2018 to 2019, prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Uniłowski (1967–2019) was the journal’s editor-in-chief. Prof. Uniłowski was a literary critic and historian. In 1989 he became co-editor of the journal FA-art. He studied the transformations of modern and postmodern literary culture. He published four studies: Polska proza innowacyjna w perspektywie postmodernizmu, 1999 (Polish Innovative Fiction from the Postmodern Perspective); Granice nowoczesności. Polska proza i wyczerpanie modernizmu, 2006 (The Borderlines of Modernity: Polish Fiction and the Exhaustion of Modernism); Prawo krytyki. O nowoczesnym i ponowoczesnym pojmowaniu literatury, 2013 (The Right of Criticism: On the Modern and Postmodern Understanding of Literature); Historia, fantastyka, nowoczesność: Szkice, 2016 (History, Fantasy, Modernity: Essays), and three books of criticism: Skądinąd. Zapiski krytyczne, 1998 (Incidentally/From Elsewhere:Notes of Criticism); Koloniści i koczownicy. Szkice o najnowszej prozie i krytyce literackiej, 2002 (The Colonists and the Nomads: on the Latest Fiction and Literary Criticism); Kup Pan książkę! Szkice i recenzje, 2008 (Book for Sale! Essays and Reviews). He was the recipient of the 1998 Ludwik Fryde Award and the 2010 Kazimierz Wyka Award.
Dr hab. Anna Kałuża, prof. UŚ, employed at The Institute of Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Silesia, is a literary scholar and critic. She conducts research on the aesthetic consequences of cultural transformations, as well as on poetry and art. Her book-length publications include: Wola odróżnienia. O modernistycznej poezji Jarosława Marka Rymkiewicza, Julii Hartwig, Witolda Wirpszy i Krystyny Miłobędzkiej, 2008; (The Will to Distinguish: on the Modernist Poetry of Jarosław Rymkiewicz, Julia Hartwig, Witold Wirpsza and Krystyna Miłobędzka); Bumerang. Szkice o polskiej poezji XX i XXI wieku, 2010 (Boomerang: Essays on 20th- and 21st-century Polish Poetry); Wielkie wygrane. Wspólne sprawy estetyki, krytyki i poezji, Mikołów 2011 (Grand Victories: The Common Concerns of Aesthetics, Ethics, Criticism, and Poetry); Pod grą. Jak dziś znaczą wiersze, poetki i poeci?, 2015 (Underneath the Game: The Meaning of Poems and Poets Today); Splątane obiekty. Dr Marta Baron-Milian, employed at The Institute of Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Silesia, is a literary and cultural scholar. She has published monograph studies on the work of Aleksander Wat (Wat plus Vat. Związki literatury i ekonomii w twórczości Aleksandra Wata, 2015 [Wat Plus VAT: Links Between Literature and Economics in the Work of Aleksander Wat]) and Jerzy Ficowski (Grzebanie grzebania. Archeolog i grabarz w twórczości Jerzego Ficowskiego, 2014) [Digging in the Digging: Archaeologist and Undertaker in the Work of Jerzy Ficowski]) and has co-edited two collections of articles: Teoria nad-interpretacją? 2013 (Theory Over-Interpretation?) and Płeć awangardy, 2019 (The Gender of the Avant-Garde). Her research interests include Polish literature of the 20th- and 21st-centuries, avant-garde practices, and links between economics and literature.
Dr Piotr Gorliński-Kucik, adjunct profesor at The Institute of Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Silesia, studies 20th- and 21st-century Polish fiction and the editing of academic texts. He is the author of book-length monograph: TechGnoza, uchronia, science fiction. Proza Jacka Dukaja, 2017 (Tech-Gnosis, Uchronia, Science Fiction: the Fiction of Jacek Dukaj).
Monika Lubińska is a graduate of the art of writing programme and a student of Polish philology in The College of Individual Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of Silesia. She has published a book of poetry "Nareszcie możemy się zjadać" (We Can Eat Each Other at Last), which was nominated for the 2020 Gdynia Literary Prize. She has published scholarly articles and criticism in the journals Wielogłos, FA-art, ArtPapier and Opcje.
