Submissions

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

— in your additional documentation all licenses and copyright-related permits are included in writing. 

Submitting a text to „Wieki Stare i Nowe”, the Author accepts that if accepted, their contribution will be distributed in the Open Access formula under the provisions of the license: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/deed.en

Each text must be appended with:

Author’s Name and Surname, University or Institute, e-mail, ORCID.

The Editors reserve the right to introduce modifications that would not affect the merit of the study to the texts submitted to “Wieki Stare i Nowe”.

Author Guidelines:

The general principles of the formatting of texts

Text format:

— the required file format: .doc or .docx

— font, text: Times New Roman, 12 pt; footnotes: 10 pt

— line spacing, text: 1,5; footnotes, bibliography: 1

— margins: standard 2,5 cm

— article: maximum 30 000 characters counted with footnotes and spaces

— review: maximum 10 000 characters counted with footnotes and spaces

— graphic material (format: .jpg lub .tiff, minimum resolution 300 dpi) in a separate file and additional documentation all licenses and copyright-related permits are included in writing

Each text must be appended with:

— Name and Surname

— Contact details (University / Institute, e-mail)

— ORCID

— Title (in Polish and English)

— Summary (in Polish or English), maximum 1000 characters counted with spaces

— Abstract (in Polish), maximum 600 characters counted spaces

— Keywords (5-6 keywords in Polish and English)

— Bibliography
