The journal Śląskie Studia Historyczno-Teologiczne provides immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all published content in accordance with the principles of Open Access (OA). All articles are available to readers free of charge, without the need for registration, login, or any other restrictions.

In the course of its development, the journal changed its license from the more restrictive CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, which applied to issues published up to 2024, to the more open CC BY-SA 4.0, which has been in force for issues published since 2025.

In order to ensure consistent open access to all issues of the journal on the OJS platform, the Editorial Board of SSHT also provides access to earlier issues, thereby supporting the idea of open science.
