Die religiöse Problematik in. K. Miarkas Schrifttum

Abstract

K. Miarka, Redakteur des im XIX Jahrhundert einflussreichsten polnischen Volksblattes „Katolik” und ein populärer Schriftsteller wirkte in Oberschlesien während des kulturkampfes. Sein Schrifttum war durchdrungen von der Überzeugung, dass Polentum und Katholizismus aufs engste verbunden sind und ein von Gott stammendes Gut bilden, das zu verteidigen ist.
Von diesem Standpunkt ausgehend wies er auf Zusammenhänge zwischen Muttersprache und Religion. In dieser Sprache wird dem Kinde zu Hause der Glaube überwiesen; der spätere Unterricht in der fremdsprachigen Schule bleibt im grossen Teil unverständlich und deswegen auch erfolglos; das Leben zeigt, dass mit der Muttersprache oft auch der katholische Glaube aufgegeben wird. Das selbe gilt für den traditionellen volkstümlichen polnischen Brauchtum. Germanisation bedeutet meistens Entwurzelung und folglich Demoralisation.
Die katholische Kirche schildert Miarka als den sichersten Beschützer und von dem Hl. Geist beseelten Führer des Volkes. In seinen Schriften spiegelt sich auch die gesamte zeitgenössische kirchliche Problematik wieder: der Fall des Kirchenstaates, Streit um das Dogma über die Unfehlbarkeit, Förderung der katholischen Soziallehre, Bestrebungen um bessere Kenntnis des Glaubens und der Kirche im katholischen Kirchenvolk, Überzeugung, dass jeder Glaubende verpflichtet ist die Kirche zu verteidigen. Diese Ideen und Forderungen übermittelt Miarka seinen Lesern in einer einfachen, aber sehr sugestiven Weise.
