Die Innere Mission der Diözese Katowice war eine orginelle Pastoralinitiative des Bischofs St. Adamski, die er 1931/32 eingeführt hat, um die Bruderschaften und kirchliche Vereine neu zu beleben und die Laien zum Apostolat im Geiste der Katholischen Aktion vorzubereiten. Er verlangte von den Mit-gliedern der Inneren Mission eifriges Gebet, aszetische Durchbildung und Tugendübung. Als wichtiges Mittel zu solcher Verinnerlichung empfahl er geschlossene Exerzitien an denen alle Mitglieder der Inneren Mission wenigstens einmal im Leben teilnehmen sollten. Sie hatten auch die Pflicht täglich das Gebet der Inneren Mission zu verrichten, welches auch an bestimmten Tagen in der Kirche nach den hl. Messen gebetet wurde. Es enthielt u.a. die Fürbitte für alle im Glauben geschwächte Christen und für eine besonders gewählte Person, um deren Bekehrung man sich bemühte. Der Bischof selbst hat das Gebet im „Głos Misji Wewnętrznej” erläutert. Die Schrift brachte auch andere Artikel über das Gebetsleben. Besonders grossen Wert legte sie auf Teilnahme an der hl. Messe und auf möglichst täglichen Empfang der hl. Kommunion, die den Opfergeist und apostolischen Eifer der Gläubigen wecken und stärken sollte. Dem Wunsche des Bischofs nachgehend propagierte sie die geschlossene Exerzitien, informierte auch über andere seine pastorale Initiativen und unterstützte sie.
1933–1934 war es das Werk des Krankenapostolates, 1935 die Familienweihe an das Allerhl. Herz Jezu, die das eucharistische Leben fördern sollte. Im selben Jahr bemühte sich der „Głos” um apostolische Formation der Rosenkranzbruderschaften und 1938 nahm er sich der Müttervereine an. Die Schrift brachte nicht nur aszetische Hinweise, aber auch praktische Beispiele apostolischer Tätigkeit — oft aus dem Leben zeitgenössischer Christen entnommen. Sie empfahl die Verbindung einer aktiven apostolischen Haltung mit eifrigem Gebetsleben.
