Les vocations sacerdotales et religieuses comme problème d'éducation existentielle

Abstract

Le dialogue, l'authenticité l engagement sont les catégories fondamentales de l’éducation existentielle. Essayons de trouver ces catégories dans l’analyse de la vocation sacerdotale et religieuse et tirons en des directives pédagogiques.
La vocation sacerdotale est un dialogue, puisque Jésus Christ dans le sacrement du sacerdoce attribue son pouvoir divin à celui qui a accepté son appel; par ailleurs l'ordonné donne à la mission du Sauveur une nouvelle dimension dans le temps et l'espace. Les religieux de même selon leur propre vocation, s'identifient avec le Christ, en ajoutant à sa vie et à ses oeuvres de nouveaux aspects. L’éducation dialogique de la vocation sacerdotale et religieuse comprend les directives suivantes: 1) présenter Dieu qui appelle sans cesse ses élus, 2) former chez les jeunes une disposition à répondre aussitôt à la voix divine.
Une vocation sacerdotale et religieuse authentique suppose un authentisme humain déjà mûr, la libération de la motivation primitive (p. ex. le bien-être, la promotion sociale) et la décision de servir uniquement Dieu et les autres. Une vocation authentique implique l'engagement total qui s'exprime dans la vie sacerdotale par la continuation de la mission apostolique de Jésus Christ et dans la vie religieuse par l'imitation du Sauveur crucifié. Aussi, pour former des candidats au sacerdoce à un engagement authentique, doit-on avant tout animer et soutenir en eux l’esprit apostolique. Quant aux futurs religieux, le devoir pédagogique principal est de les former à un amour parfait, capable de renoncement à soi-même.
