About

„Rusycystyczne Studia Literaturoznawcze” ("Russian Studies in Literature") is a reviewed annual of monographic type. It continues (after few years of break) „Rusycystyczne Studia Literaturoznawcze Uniwersytetu Śląskiego” a journal that was published since 1970s of 20th century.

Each issue includes texts devoted to a specific problem and inspiring reflexion within traditional literary studies and interdisciplinary approach to the problems of Russian and Russian-speaking literature.

The Editorial Board publishes articles, sketches, translations, essays, reviews, polemics and reports in Polish, Russian and English languages.

Aim and the extent of the journal

The aim of the journal is to exchange thoughts and present the results of the researches. The most important premises and challenges presented in its new formula are to extend the classical understanding of Russian literature to interdisciplinary studies that discuss problems of current humanities and to perform analysis of the literary problems in their cultural and social contexts and comparative studies including relations of Russian and Russian-speaking literature with other national literatures.

The journal is addressed to the philologists, literary and cultural scholars, the representatives of Russian and Slavonic studies centres in Poland and abroad. Both experienced and young researchers are welcomed to send their texts.

Our journal has been granted 20 points as a result of the parametric evaluation carried out by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education in 2021. "RSL" is also listed in the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH+), Index Copernicus Journal Master List (with the impact factor ICV 2020 = 63.47) and it is also indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) .
