About the Journal

“Studia Etnologiczne i Antropologiczne'' is a scientific journal with an ethnological and anthropological profile which is a forum for presenting the recent scientific research that concern phenomena and cultural processes taking place locally, regionally as well as globally with particular reference to Central and Eastern Europe and Eastern Europe. We are particularly keen to publish ethnographic works presenting field research in the Global South (Africa in particular).

“Studia Etnologiczne i Antropologiczne” journal has been published since 1997. ''Studia Etnologiczne i Antropologiczne'' is published by the Institute of Culture Studies at the Silesia University in Katowice.

“Studia Etnologiczne i Antropologiczne”, a semi-annual journal,  is an open access journal. ”Studia Etnologiczne i Antropologiczne” is a peer-reviewed, electronic / print-on-demand journal.

The journal does not charge any publication fees.

Submissions (original research – articles, dissertations, field research materials, reports, reviews) are accepted in Polish, Czech, Slovak and English languages.

All issues of the journal are published under a Creative Commons license. Archival issues, originally published in a different version, have also been published under a Creative Commons license by the decision of the Silesia University Press.
