Submissions

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Formatting rules: MS Word, Times New Roman 12pt font, line spacing – 1.5pts, margins – 2.5cm: left, right, top and bottom, bilateral alignment, quotations (longer than 3 lines) distinguished in the main body – 10pts. The texts sent to us should not exceed 30,000 characters with spaces.
  • The submission contains ALL of the elements below:
    - the title of the article in English and in Polish (max 120 characters incl. spaces),
    - bibliography formatted in Harvard style (see instructions below),
    - abstracts in English and in Polish (max. 150 words, that is max. 1200 characters incl. spaces),
    - key words in English and in Polish (max. 75 characters incl. spaces),
    - author’s bio in English and in Polish (600-800 characters incl. spaces),
    - author’s ORCID number,
    - author’s affiliation,
    - written permissions and licenses for copyrighted material (e.g.: images) - as an additional file,
    - in the case of open-license or owned materials, a declaration concerning the type of the license and the source of the graphic as an additional file.
  • The abstract of the text (minimum 150 words) should contain: the reason for taking up the selected topic,
    general description of the issues discussed, the most important theses of the article, keywords and phrases appearing in the text identifying the main assumptions of the article, the methodology adopted, the method of conducting research and their results, information situating the text in the area of other research and sciences.
    The abstract should be written, as short as possible, with short sentences that precisely define the subject matter

Author Guidelines

The articles are to be submitted no later than 15th of January in the year of upcoming issue publication, or until another date – if one has been established in a given year (see 'announcements').

The editorial office only accepts texts that were not previously published in any part or as a whole.

The author undertakes to follow the rules of ethics (see: Publication ethics).

The articles are to be edited in conformity with the editorial standards of the „Theory and Teaching Practice of Polish Language” scientific journal.

Failure to comply with these standards may result in rejecting the article.

Article submission is an unequivocal act of transferring publishing rights (both in print and in electronic version) to the publisher.

 The editorial office does not return unordered materials.

The article may be published if it obtains the approval of the journal's editors and a positive review by two reviewers.

After passing the review procedure, the Author undertakes to complete the declaration regarding the submission of the article in the journal published under the WUŚ under the Creative Commons license

The Editorial Board does not charge the Authors with any fees for accepting and publishing the text.
