Un Dio che parla agli uomini

Abstract

Il tema dell’articolo è preso dal titolo del paragrafo ventitre del documento della Pontificia Commissione Biblica Il popolo ebraico e le sue Sacre Scritture. Questo paragrafo presenta uno dei temi comuni di entrambi i Testamenti: Dio entra in comunicazione con gli uomini e parla ad essi. Questa comunicazione ha suscitato la fede dei suoi destinatari in Dio. La conoscenza della verità su Dio si
avverò nella storia d’Israele e divenne l’oggetto dell’esclusiva esperienza religiosa di questo popolo. La storia religiosa d’Israele, in confronto continuo con le credenze di altri popoli e con le minacce per la fede monoteista, viene testimoniata dagli scritti veterotestamentari. La fede in uno Dio è la verità fondamentale anche del Nuovo Testamento, perché viene confermata dalle parole di Gesù che rispose: „Il primo è: Ascolta, Israele. Il Signore Dio nostro è l’unico Signore” (Mc 12,29). La comprensione cristiana della professione di questa fede ci divide dagli ebrei non cristiani. Essa viene espressa dalle parole di Paolo: „per noi c’è un solo Dio, il Padre, dal quale tutto proviene e noi siamo per lui; e un solo Signore Gesù Cristo, in virtù del quale esistono tutte le cose e noi esistiamo per lui” (1 Cor 8,6).
