Die Vertreter der Homiletik in Polen versuchten nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg mehrfach ein einheitliches Programm und Curriculm der homiletischen Ausbildung auszuarbeiten. Nach dem II Vatikanischen Konzil hat die Seminar-Komission der polnischen Bischöflichen Konferenz eine Ratio Institutionis Sacerdotalis ausgearbeitet, in welcher sich auch das allgemeine Programm der homiletischen Ausbildung befindet.
Der Artikel versucht den Verlauf der homiletischen Ausbildung allseitig vorzuführen. Zunächst wurden die Ziele der homiletischen Schulung fixiert, welche zur Ausbildung eines guten Predigers führen. Das Programm umfasste drei Grundfragen: Theologie der Verkündigung, Praxis der Verkündigung und Geschichte der Verkündigung. Hiernach wurden die Methoden der homiletischen Didaktik gründlich dargelegt und zwar: 1. Der systematische und monografische Vortrag; die Vorträge können eine konventionell-traditionelle oder konversatorisch-problematische, oder andere dialogische Gestalt annehmen. 2. Das Studium des Handbuches und wissenschaftlichen Schrifttums. 3. Übungen, durch die der Student lernt, wie die theoretische Wissenschaft in der Praxis ausgenützt wird. Die Übungen sollen auch zur kreativen, erfinderischen und selbstständigen Ausarbeitung der Predigt anregen. 4. Die Praxis, welche darin besteht, dass die Studenten Homilien oder Predigten ausfertigen und sie in verschiedenen Gruppen verkünden. 5. Wissenschaftliche Seminare, welche die Studenten zu wissenschaftlichen Forschungen in der Homiletik befähigen. 6. Schliesslich wurden zu den Methoden auch Kolloquien und Prüfungen gerechnet. Im Lernprozess sollen, wo es nur möglich ist, die sprachlichen, visuellen, hörbaren und audiovisuellen Lehrmittel gebraucht werden, die den Verlauf der homiletischen Ausbildung wirksamer gestalten. Am Ende wird die Organistation des didaktischen Milieus (Arbeitsfeldes) und die Rolle homiletischer Zirkel besprochen.
Die genannten Grundsätze sollen der Verbesserung der homiletischen Ausbildung im Priesterseminar dienen, um dadurch die Verkündigung des Wortes Gottes zu beleben.
