Bulgarian wedding rite in translation of Snaha by Georgi Karaslavov
Article addresses issues related to the ways (note, a direct transfer, equivalence) of rendering in translation selected elements of stereotypical traditional Bulgarian wedding (at the level of the operational plane — relation between representatives of both sexes, leading to the selection of candidates for the wife, objective code — sweet rakija as a symbol of virginity of the bride and verbal code — addressative phrases in relations between husband and wife).
