Maciej Kurcz, cultural anthropologist. His research interests lie in culture dynamics in modern Africa both in the context of rural societies and urban centres. He has been engaged in researching Sudan since 2000. He is an author of more than forty publications on Africa nad Sudanu, including books: Za trzecią kataraktą (Beyond the Third Cataract, PTL 2007) based on ethnographic research in Northern Sudan in 2003 and 2004, and “Urban Now: a human in the face of borderlineness and urbanisation in Juba, South Sudan”- Berlin : Peter Lang GmbH, 2021. - 272 pp. - (International Relations in Asia, Africa and the Americas ; vol. 11) - ISBN 978-3-631-81988-3) based on ethnographic research in South Sudan in 2007 and 2008. Anna Drożdż, an ethnologist and cultural anthropologist. She specializes in issues related to cultural heritage and traditional culture (especially of rural areas) and new possibilities of using and interpreting source materials collected as part of the Polish Ethnographic Atlas. Recently, she has been dealing with the culinary heritage of the countryside. Her interests also include the organization, management and marketing of contemporary cultural institutions. For years, she has been associated with the Polish Ethnographic Atlas laboratory and has been a member of the Polish Ethnological Society and the Food Anthropology section of the Polish Ethnological Society. Since 2020, editor-in-chief of this society’s publishing series “Commentaries to the Polish Ethnographic Atlas”. ORCID: 0000-0002-4178-154X

Magdalena Szalbot, PhD, cultural anthropologist, Assistant Professor, PhD at the Institute of Culture Studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She has written 40 papers in Polish and English. The project coordinator: Cultural Ecology - Specialization at the Field of Ethnology, supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants and co-financed by the Polish funds, member of The Polish Ethnological Society (PTL), branch in Cieszyn and Games Research Association of Poland (PTBG). Research activity concerns problems of ludus (anthropology of play, polish and european folk games, TSG), urban anthropology, ethnicity, migration, ecology, borderlands, and multiculturalism. Anna Pilśniak, MA is a Polish editor with more than ten years of experience, currently employed at the University of Silesia Publishing House. She has worked at the Museum of Art and History of Judaism in Paris. She’s a graduate from the Jagiellonian University with a MA in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology and a postgraduate from the University of Silesia in Katowice in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language.

Ewa Kozik, PhD - ethnologist, religious studies scholar, educator, PhD student at the Doctoral School at the University of Silesia focused on the issues of contemporary medical myths.
