AUTHOR GUIDELINES

 General guidelines:

  • the text of the article should contain between 20,000 and 35,000 characters, including spaces and footnotes; in special cases, the Editorial Board may accept for publication texts that do not meet this requirement;
  • font: Times New Roman 12, 1.5 line spacing, first line indented by 1.25 centimetres, justified text;
  • file format: DOC, DOCX, RTF;
  • the text should be divided into parts marked by headings. All headings must be numbered and in bold;
  • all notes should be footnotes (Times New Roman 10, 1.0 line spacing);
  • in footnotes page(s) should be abbreviated as p. or pp.
  • each footnote should end with a full stop;
  • hyphenation should be disabled;
  • journal names should always be written in full and the use of even well-known abbreviations should be avoided;
  • use "See" when your intention is to broaden the information given. Use the abbreviation "" when your intention is to compare or contrast the information given with another source.
  • if the author of an article from an Internet source is unknown, omit this information and start the footnote with the title of the source. If it is not possible to identify the title as well, it is sufficient to give the address with the date of access;
  • literature written Cyrillic is cited in the footnote in its original spelling [only in the appended reference list should it be transliterated].

 Citation rules

Notes should be prepared in the form of footnotes, according to the guidelines and examples below (Oxford style)

 Reference entries of publications in footnotes should match those in the reference list.

 The reference list should include all references cited in footnotes.

 Basic models of reference entries in footnotes:

Do not mark surnames with a different typeface (no small caps or letter spacing).

Names of publishers should be given in full.

If a DOI has been assigned to a publication, it should be given as a hyperlink (at the end of the reference entry, after a comma).

A publication in a foreign language should be described its original language (e.g. “ed.”, “Hrsg.”, “vol.”, “Teil”, „Bd.”, “no.”, “Nr.”), except for the abbreviations “p.” and “pp”

A. Cristià, Phonetic enhancement of sibilants in infant-directed speech, “The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America” 2010, vol. 128, no. 1, pp. 424–434.

Latin abbreviations should be consistently used:

– a reference to the publication cited in the previous footnote:

Ibidem, p. 35.

– a reference to a publication by the same author within one footnote:

– if no information on the publisher, place of publication or year of publication is given in the publication, the abbreviations should be used as appropriate: “s.n.”, “s.l.” or “s.a.”

The repeated citation of a publication already cited in a given chapter requires the use of an abbreviated description (do not use the abbreviation “ cit.”)

 II.A. Sources of law and court rulings should be cited in footnotes, without repeating them in the appended reference list, according to the models.

  • official publications – of legal acts and rulings – are always introduced in a footnote, never in the main body of the text. If the full name of an act appears in the text (together with the date of its adoption), do not repeat it in the footnote and only indicate the relevant official publication;
  • for each of the rulings the relevant official publication should be indicated. If a ruling comes from a database that numbers rulings (e.g. Lex), it is necessary to give that number;
  • the Editorial Board uses within the journal an established list of abbreviations for the most frequently appearing acts. Please use the abbreviations below. In the case of other laws not listed below, the Author should introduce his or her own abbreviations by use it consistently within the text.
