dr nauk humanistycznych w zakresie językoznawstwa, filolog, logopeda, terapeuta integracji sensorycznej, adiunkt w Katedrze Dydaktyki Języka i Literatury Polskiej na Wydziale Filologicznym Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach, kierownik Studiów Podyplomowych Kwalifikacyjnych Logopedii i Medialnej Emisji Głosu UŚ. Jej zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na problemach pragmalingwistyki, dydaktyki języka, neurolingwistyki, w tym specyficznych i niespecyficznych zaburzeń mowy i rozwoju języka, diagnozy i terapii logopedycznej z elementami integracji sensorycznej oraz surdologopedii (szczególnie diagnozy i terapii osób z APD). Jest autorką kilkudziesięciu publikacji z zakresu językoznawstwa, edukacji polonistycznej oraz logopedii, w tym monografii Akty mowy w języku nauczyciela (Katowice 2004), redaktorem „Logopedii Silesiany”. W latach 2003–2010 pełniła funkcję naukowego opiekuna Polonistycznego Koła Młodych Dydaktyków. Jest członkiem Zarządu Głównego Polskiego Towarzystwa Logopedycznego w Lublinie, konsultantem merytorycznym Podyplomowych Studiów Logopedii Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, pełni również funkcję koordynatora projektu NetQues w Polsce, którego partnerem jest Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach.
