Abstract

The article describes everyday life in Czeladź, one of the towns of Zagłębie Dabrowskie, during the Second World War. The reconstruction of the role animals played in this town (both as farm and draft animals and as household pets) is primarily based on memories collected by the author during interviews with the oldest residents of the city.
