A Beautiful Dwarf and a Jewish Paper Nose
Abstract: The purpose of the following article is to deconstruct multiple meanings of the presence of a jew female dwarf in Albert Cohen's Belledu Seigneur novel. The key moment of the narrative, where the female dwarf appears, does not allow us to ignore this character. Her presence is enigmatic enough, and the scene oneiric itself, to force us to find the intertextual connections, seeking a wider historical and literary context of the figure.
Keywords: Albert Cohen, Belledu Seigneur, dwarf, femininity
