This paper presents a qualitative content analysis (ethnographic and sociological) of one of the online trends on YouTube – mukbang. Videos in this category are defined as showing live eating/eating, often accompanied by conversation or commentary. Mukbangs are ideally suited to the contemporary trend of using modern consumer (virtual) goods, as they provide viewers with choice and almost unlimited access to recordings that cater to different needs. The aim of this article is to analyse the content of mukbang videos in the context of the ethnography of the senses and to answer questions about the participation of the senses in the transmission and reception of this type of virtual product.

The presented article focuses on International Tracing Service (from 2019 operating under the name The Arolsen Archives – International Center on Nazi Persecution), world’s biggest archive on Holocaust victims and survivors, which activity is analyzed in the context of individual and collective memory of the Shoah. The article references, among others, concepts introduced by Jan Gross, Marianne Hirsch and Dan Stone in order to depict International Tracing Service as an important agent in shaping the European memory of the Holocaust.

Ibn-e Safi’s work is an example of a cultural hybrid that transcends the traditional boundaries of detective fiction. The author’s literary output not only constitutes the canon of Pakistani and Indian light fiction, but also shows how literature can function as a bridge between different, often distant cultural traditions, creating new forms of expression. On the one hand these novels are strongly rooted in the Western genre structures, while on the other hand they are saturated with local narrative elements that deviate from the conventions commonly associated with classic crime novels in the West. The aim of this article is to analyze Ibn-e Safi’s prose, focusing on the character of Detective Faridi, the main protagonist of the Spy World series. Particular attention was paid to the methods used by the author to deconstruct Western narrative patterns, introducing a different style of writing and local cultural tropes into his novels.

This paper examines the socio-economic and cultural challenges faced by Hindu migrant taxi drivers in Saudi Arabia, focusing on the interplay between economic vulnerability, cultural isolation, and resilience. Based on longitudinal ethnographic research, it highlights how the kafala system, high recruitment fees, long hours, and restricted religious practice deepen precarity, while community networks and adaptive strategies enable drivers to persist despite systemic neglect and pandemic-related hardships.

The text concerns the construction of the regional television centre in Katowice. It was conducted between 1957 and 1968. The organisational activities were planned and executed in state institutions. The first of these was the Ministry of Communications and the second was the Committee for Radio Broadcasting “Polskie Radio”. The activities of these institutions about the construction of the regional television centre in Katowice are described based on legislation, archival documents and press, and book publications. An author confronts the historical description of the construction of the regional television centre in Katowice with the myth created by Stanisław Miszczak.
