We invite you as Polish language specialists, literary scholars, linguists, educators, psychologists and representatives of natural sciences to prepare texts for the 34th volume of the annual “Z Teorii i Praktyki Dydaktycznej Języka Polskiego”. The 2025 issue will be devoted to the intertwining of polonistics with other disciplines, resulting from the challenges of the 21st century.

We invite you to take a look at the indicated topics and to send article proposals (working titles and short descriptions) to the editorial office at ztipdjp@us.edu.pl by March 20, 2025.

Tytuł tomu: Zmiany… Jak (prze)budować polską szkołę?

Serdecznie zapraszamy do nadsyłania oryginalnych, wcześniej niepublikowanych propozycji do 33. numeru „Z Teorii i Praktyki Dydaktycznej Języka Polskiego”. Najnowszy tom chcielibyśmy poświęcić zmianom.

Zmiany są wszędzie: w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach tworzą nowe warunki życia, a człowieka stawiają przed niespotykanymi dotąd wyzwaniami. Byłoby dobrze, gdyby szkoła przygotowywała do nich, by pomogła młodym ludziom te zmiany zrozumieć. Tymczasem polska edukacja coraz bardziej rozmijała się z wyzwaniami współczesnego świata…

Co zatem zrobić, by polska szkoła, a w niej – tak istotne w funkcji formacyjnej kształcenie humanistyczne, polonistyczne – spełniały najlepsze standardy dobrej i nowoczesnej edukacji przygotowującej do życia we współczesnym świecie? Jak zmienić treści kształcenia, listy lektur, egzaminy, system oceniania czy sposoby przekazywania wartości, a także przestrzenie edukacyjne i metody?  Co trzeba zrobić, żeby zmienić polską szkołę?

Szkoła XXI wieku nie może obyć się bez innowacyjnych technologii i nowoczesnej edukacji medialnej, bez kształcenia kompetencji przyszłości, postaw obywatelskich, całościowej i interdyscyplinarnej edukacji klimatycznej, edukacji z zakresu kompetencji interpersonalnych i inteligencji emocjonalnej.

Zachęcamy badaczy oraz dydaktyków języka i literatury oraz glottodydaktyków do przesyłania artykułów naukowych, które poruszają temat „zmiany” w szerokim kontekście – włączającym czy poszerzającym sugerowaną listę zagadnień:

• ograniczenie treści kształcenia w polskiej szkole,
• nowe metody edukacji humanistycznej i nowe technologie w procesie nauczania i uczenia się,
• nowoczesna edukacja medialna w humanistyce,
• nowa humanistyka,
• odpowiedzialność w kontekście edukacji,
• tworzenie relacji uwzględniających podmiotowość uczniów i nauczycieli,
• rola nauczycieli języka polskiego w zmieniającym się środowisku edukacyjnym,
• umiejętności niezbędne uczniom w XXI wieku,
• rola kształcenia językowego w budowaniu świadomości relacji środowiskowych,
• dostępność edukacji i równość szans w kontekście zmian społecznych i technologicznych,
• wyzwania i możliwości związane z humanistyką cyfrową,
• nowy kanon lektur/ zbędność kanonu (?).

Jesteśmy także otwarci na artykuły poruszające inne tematy, z innych dyscyplin/dziedzin, które odnoszą się do tematu „zmiany” w edukacji.

Zapraszamy Autorów i Autorki do przemyślenia wskazanych problemów oraz do nadsyłania propozycji artykułów (roboczych tytułów i krótkich opisów) do 31 lutego 2024 roku na adres redakcji: ztipdjp@us.edu.pl. Volume title: Educational worldviews of school and university. Teaching Polish as a commitment

We invite researchers to prepare the texts for the 32nd issue of “Z Teorii i Praktyki Dydaktycznej Języka Polskiego”, which we would like to dedicate to Professor Bernadeta Niesporek-Szamburska, an outstanding researcher and language teacher. She was always associated with the Department of Didactics of Polish Language and Literature at the University of Silesia. Currently, she is the director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Research in Humanities Education. The forthcoming volume of ZTiPDJP is an expression of gratitude for the joint work.

Dear Authors, Reviewers, Friends of the journal „Theory and Practice of Polish Language Teaching”

We are happy to announce that our journal has just been accepted to two international databases. Thus we have become a periodical that is present in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), which contains nearly 17 500 peer-reviewed open access journals, covering all fields of science, and the MLA International Bibliography. The MLA International Bibliography is an essential tool for research in all aspects of modern languages and literature. Available as a searchable online database of more than 3 million records and constantly updated by scholars in the field, the bibliography is used by academics and teachers around the world to find and share their work.

The editors have also applied to two other databases “Web of Science” and “Sherpa Romeo”, which we hope will be also successful. All this will result in an greater visibility, impact and citations of the articles published in the journal. Naturally, it should also increase the number of ministerial points awarded to „Theory and Practice of Polish Language Teaching” during the journal evaluation.

We invite you to prepare papers for the 31^st  “Theory and Practice of Polish Language Teaching”, which we would like to dedicate to reflection on humanities education during climate crisis.

The scope of the journal includes the following topics:

• Green competencies, green writing, and green reading
• Eco-glottodidactics
• How to communicate about the climate crisis, proclimatic discourses
• Searching for a language to talk about crisis and a biocentric perspective
• New humanistic methodologies vs. climatic crisis
• Climatic crisis as a challenge for humanistic education
• School in times of the environmental destruction
• Climate utopias and dystopias at school
• Pop culture and eco-education in film
• Sources of inspiration for environmental humanities
• Out-of-school reading and contemporary climate challenges
• New environmentally disobedient heroes,
• New genres (cli-fi, environmental reportage) in school and academic Polish language studies
• New sources of critical hope in times of crisis
• Eco and biocentric approach in academic reflection
• Ecology vs. axiology, bioethical revaluations
• Climate crisis in lights of empirical research

We invite researchers and teachers of language and literature, teachers and glottodidactics to consider indicated problems and submit article proposals (working titles and short descriptions) until the 15^th of February 2022. We gratefully acknowledge your applications to the issue. We are waiting for the texts to the end of April 2022.

The editors will judge submitted articles. The assessment of two independent viewers determines the final acceptance of publications (double-blind peer review).

The journal is included in the list of scientific journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland with 20 points assigned. The Journal is available worldwide via such aggregators as: ERIH Plus, Index Copernicus International, Central and Eastern European Online Library, Arianta, CEJSH. We are currently applying for access to the databases SCOPUS and DOAJ, which we hope will allow us to achieve higher scores soon.
