'Studia Politicae Universitatis Silesiensis' (edited by Jan Iwanek, Paweł Grzywna and Robert Radek) in 2018 adopted the formula of a peer-reviewed quarterly, whose only version is the electronic version published in open access in the Central and Eastern European Online Library (www.ceeol.com) and at the University of Silesia Press (www.journals.us.edu.pl).
Volume 24 of the quarterly 'Studia Politicae Universitatis Silesiensis' (2019) traditionally collects texts in several thematic sections. In the first section 'Theory of politics and political thought' the reader will find two studies: by Krzysztof Łabędź, regarding the consciousness changes of the Polish society in the 1980s, and by Maciej Guzy regarding Poland's belonging to Western civilization. In the 'Political Systems' section, Robert Radek describes the realities of forming minority governments in post-communist countries. The 'Political parties and party systems' section contains an article by Piotr Obacz, which presents the issues of the modern Communist Party of Poland as a marginal party. 'Elections and election campaigns' is a section containing the study of Rafał Miernik characterizing local elections in Poland. In the last of the 'Public Policies' sections Dominika Hofman-Kozłowska writes about democracy at school on the example of British Summerhill, and Krzysztof Toboła raises the issue of regional policy in the context of the development of the automotive industry in the Śląskie Voivodeship.
